Design Site Reel

After the launch of the telegraphs' design site, the creative director requested an asset that would help garner attention from people online when the team that created the tool posted about the launch of the site. The brief was simply to create a short reel demonstrating the site as a knowledge base for our design systems that people outside of the company could access.

Project Brief

The aim of this project was to create an exciting motion graphic for social media, to accompany the copy launching the design system website. The content should be taken either directly from the site with motion added, or stylistically match the elements that already exist on the website.

THE BRIEF

The goal of this project was to create a dynamic motion graphic for social media to support the launch of the design system website. Content either directly leveraged existing site elements with added motion or closely matched the website’s visual style.

THE APPROACH

We focused on enhancing existing site elements, bringing them to life through animation. Using the homepage design as a foundation, we built a timeline of components pulled directly from the site, animating them to feel seamless and engaging.

THE PROCESS

We began by selecting key design elements already present on the site, then developed animations to highlight and enhance them. Each timeline element was structured to open and close dynamically, maintaining visual consistency with the homepage design.

THE FINAL PRODUCT

The end result brings the design system to life through motion. By reusing and animating existing site elements, we created a cohesive, engaging motion piece that reflects the website’s design language while adding energy and depth.
