Rise of the Nazis

After World War II, many Nazis fled Germany in search of safety in countries less connected to the Allies. "Rise of the Nazis" is a documentary that explores various groups in different countries as they frantically hunt for these fleeing Nazis. Following the graphic style established in Season One, the third and fourth seasons required the creation of maps, charts, and family trees for several visual sequences throughout the series.

Brief

This family tree graphic was created for the BBC’s Rise of the Nazis, building on a style established in earlier series. The brief called for clean, legible visual storytelling that could clarify complex relationships and power structures without distracting from the narrative.

Adaptation

As each episode focused on different figures and turning points, the graphics had to adapt accordingly. I refined the existing style system—adding motion, pacing, and layout variations that aligned with the tone and dramatic structure of each segment.

Growth

Working on the final two series gave me the opportunity to contribute to a project with real historical weight. It was a balance of consistency and creativity, ensuring every visual element deepened the viewer’s understanding of the events unfolding on screen.
